有机锡化合物是锡和碳元素直接结合所形成的金属有机化合物。通式RnSnX4-n(n=1-4,R为烷基或芳香基)。有烷基锡化合物和芳香基化合物两类。其基本结构有一取代体、二取代体、三取代体和四取代体(指R的数目)。锡产量中的10-20%用于合成有机锡化合物。主要用途有:用作催化剂(二丁基锡、辛酸亚锡)、稳定剂(如二甲基锡、二辛基锡、四苯基锡)、农用杀虫剂、杀菌剂(如二丁基锡、三丁基锡、三苯基锡)及日常用品的涂料和防霉剂等。
